Santa in locomotive mini advent calendar card has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture hidden behind it. A great countdown fun for christmas. The tradition (that dates back to 1851 in the Protestant parts of Germany) is to open one door each day from December 1 through December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas. This beautiful advent calendar was manufactured in Germany by the Richard Sellmer Verlag company. Calendar measure 4.5 x 6 (in inches) and come with envelope.
